The Sergio Spaghetti westerns would make more in DVD sales these days I am sure than many movies make at the box office. Its a bit like the ABBA phenomenon....the sales just keep rolling in coz quality stands the test of time. Besides these movies are like music vids. You can put them on and vacuum the house just to listen to the theme tunes of each scene...cant do that with much of the guff that passes as A List these days.

Like a fine wine, a work of art or a great song, certain movies, like this one, become classics.

This is a movie to the fullest. A Masterpiece of Sergio Leone without thinking about how much money it would bring to the cinemas.Today there are new rules for moviemakers: PROMOTION=FAMOUS ACTOR=BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS=MANIPULATED AUDIENCE GOING IN CINEMAS=MONEY=Movie like fuckin piece of shit=like HANKOCK or MAIMI VICE or NATIONAL TREASURE or DEATH RACE or ....

The new movies always intend to manipulate the audience. Its always the same. There is a main character involved in a certain plot. Then there is the beauty for the sexual effect. I have nothing against women in movies but they never get a deep role in todays movies. Is there any women who is loved for her acting abilities???

i don't think so, i got nothing against women, and they never get the lead role, odd, 1800's are over now, right?

There are loads of women loved for their acting abilities. Charlize Theron, Kathy Bates, Sigourney Weaver, Halle Berry, Judi Dench, Scarlett Johansen, Michelle Pfeiffer, Glenn Close, Kate Blanchett, Kate Winslett, Kirsten Dunst, etc, etc. Granted, a lot of them are very, very beautiful, but it must be in the eye of the beholder whether this overshadows their talent or not.

I got bored with the cinema three years ago, and the only reason i'm going back, is to see Tom Cruise' film on Hitler's failed assasination.
After that...?
