posted this on another vid but for what it's worth (and replying to greenskeez): BOC revisiting and reviving the sound the National Film Board of Canada was stylishly done. Modulating, wobbly analog sounds reminiscent of the 70s, 80s, evoking feelings of warmth, childlike innocence and beauty tainted with that underlying feeling of sadness and the fact that growing up comes with facing life's realities (just like an NFB documentary)... anywho.. I was high as a kite when I wrote that!

this song, like all of the songs on boards of canada's music has the right to chidlren,is trying to re-create the untangibles of childhood,the feeling of having to be dependant on others. the feelings of wonder at the big wolrd your are placed in, but also the strange feelings of loneliness, hence the essential denpendancy that accompanies childhood.
