The flag is not racist it is certain hate groups like the KKK and white supremists that have turned it into one.Go read some history books on the Civil War it was not fought soley because of the slavery issue. There were slaves under the Stars and Stripes a lot longer before than there were under the Stars and Bars so which flag is more racist? The Dukes were far from racist thry helped out black people on numerous episodes.

True, even if the southerners are hicks and hillbillies the flag itself is just a symbol of the confederates. Same history was with the hackenkreutz; at first it was just a symbol of the sun, symbol of power, it gained its negative image throughout the war because of people. Same here.

As for the slaves, northerners needed people to work in factories. Simple as that :)

I dunno man, the Dukes may have been racist, they were pretty intimidated by Sherriff Little of Chickasaw County. The way he stood in the road with his arms crossed and all dignified right before them Dukes flew over him may have seemed a hair uppity.

When I was young, we used to have those stupid My Dad Could Beat Up Your Dad or My Hero Could Beat Up Your Hero arguments, and when someone (like my little sister) intervened to stop it from turning into a physical fight, she'd be all, "Yeah well, Sheriff Little of Chickasaw County Could Beat Up All Your Dads and All Of The Superfriends Too And Even Captain Caveman."
