The point of this clip is to show an American icon doing something iconically American. It was conceived and filmed by an Italian director.
Before the interwebz there was little attention paid to the everyday and the real. The media put out shiny, glitzy movies and videos, and told us what they decided we should know about on the news. A lot of artists chose instead to display the true human condition.
I met him, Andy was smart and extremely cool.
