Watched the show, but didn't really like that there was no mention of Tesla's quite insane claims of earthquake machines and stuff. By the end of his life, he was really nuts.
And I didn't like this "oh those stupid engineers and scientists forgot about Tesla for many decades and just remembered him some years ago" notion. That's insulting and not true. It was a bit too much ass-kissing in the show.

does anybody know how he connected the electronics to the coils?

The guy didnt give any instructions. He just showed us but did not give any schematics or instructions. This i feel is important so we can verify or deny his conclucions. I send him an email but so far there has been no response. As far as i can see he connects cap. in parallel, a diode the + side of 1 cap. and finaly a transistor of some kind.
