Anarchy does not have to be a temporary condition - besides if you look at it this way all governments are 'temporary conditions'. States rise and fall. How many states today have existed for even 100 years without a revolutionary change in government? The United States, Great Britain, Canada and Switzerland are they only ones I can think of off the top of my head

You're very confused on this one. Communism believes the rights of the state are greater than the rights of the individual and justifies the use of more government to exercise that. They have to use more government because the natural tendency of people is to be free and not controlled.

A Republic justifies the use of less government as to not sacrifice the freedom of the individual. Thus the author has Communism correctly placed in the spectrum of more government to less government.

You've left out a very important aspect of our system of government -- state's rights. The states were meant to be islands of democracy which gave people the freedom to go to another state if they didn't like the laws their state had adopted.

It was a beautifully thought out system, but the oligarchy of federal politicians primarily interested only in getting re-elected continue to corrupt it with laws that were meant for the states to decide. Thus the argument for term limits.
