What people fail to realize. Is that when this song came out it was so different. We all liked it some of us identified with it. As far as singers go well let me say this you could have other artists sing this and it would not be any good. Some music is made with lyrics in mind and other music is made to be strictley instrumental. I also like bands like tangerine dream for there music. Another good example would be Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer group. Awfully good.

Wrestling team known as Bad Company came down the ramp to this song. Team was Sonny Siaki, The Wrestler, Chris Stevens, and David Young...those were the days! They were truly BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!

how can you base what you listen to on it's originality? .... I know a lot of bands/artists that are very very original and I would never think to listen to them on a regular basis .... I decide what I listen to based on thw rhythm of the guitar, the crash of the drums, and the bass groove .... instruments make music ... lyrics are secondary .(dream theater for example) ... some people never heard of them and they arguably have the best guitarists and drummer in the world

Well wen you talk about lyrics I wud say they had the ability to change a generation with the content of their lyrical basis. Originality over showiness. If you look at Bob Dylan or people like that, their content seems far superior than the mainstream music of today. And their rythym as u sed. Btw, I totally agree with you about Dream Theater. I like them and I used to listen to them years ago. I guess it just seems that other artists with the ability to shape a generation have been on hiatus.

Like this Fallout Boy, most country, new Metallica aside from their new cd. Its just stupid cause people produce crap and it works. Like hey I can strum cords and scream lyrics about my shitty depression that I don't have and wearing my sister's pants. Its liek what the fuck happened here? It was different int he '80s because when you wore jeans that were 'tight' they were Wrangler Straight Fit or the equivelant. This queers are wearing $100 pairs of Abhercrombie tight fit. Its like seriously?

I think what he meant was there's not alot of revolutionary bands or singer/songwriters out there anymore. Most everything sounds the same anymore aside from a couple dozen or so bands and singer/songswriters, especially with rap the beats are the same the tempo the bass hits. I will provide Dr. Dre and Rammstein as two very prime examples as revolutionaries in their respective fields of music. In my personal opinion some people shouldn't be allowed to put music on store shelves.
