In response to ToolRushTheater: I can see why you would count it like that. The way that I am counting it counts the bass beat as a half note, therefore 1-2-3-4-1-2-1-2-3-4-1-2. You are counting the bass beat as a quarter note, therefore 1-2-3-4-5 or 1-2-3-1-2. It is unknown which of us is actually correct without seeing the original sheet music, but either of our methods are correct.

Ugh, I know. It's fascinating and all, but that factor kind of bothered me. =__=
