CBS Edits McCain's Whopper Out of Broadcast (w/original video)

Back

They replaced it with an attack on Barack Obama. Thanks to folks like Spencer Ackerman and Keith Olbermann, we've got the real story. To CBS's credit, they posted the original video online. Here it is.

Ha ha, I understood the video just fine. I was simply pointing out puffenstuff07's unintelligible comment. :)

The trap the news is making is confusing the Awakening to the Surge. The success with the Awakening in Ramadi was the blueprint for the surge. McCain is correct in his understanding since he, during my days in Ramadi, visited twice. To learn more about the awakening look up Sheik Sattar. To learn more about the Americans who contributed to new philosophy look up Patriquin, McMaster, Nagl and David Galula. In his latest book, Bob Woodward gives one paragraph reference to Galula's book.

Stupid! McCain has no reason to lie for one, and this has nothing to do with how this country is going to be "ran" regardless of who makes President. Pure bullshit propaghanda

Let's start with the pledge - debunked!
Don't believe me? Just Google "Obama pledge". I know it is not easy for am radio listeners to do their own research but it is possible.

3 yrs in Gov't? Try 3 terms in Ill. senate + his time in the national Senate - More time than Abe Lincoln!

Chicago murders? No need to debunk it. It's crap. Anybody with half a brain will realize that Chicago's murder rate was high long before Obama was even born.

I say it's debunked!

cxpage--good post. I'm always amazed but mainly shocked, how unimformed McCain's "base"
are. Are they really that ignorant, racists, or just so filled with hate? It's frightening.
Obama IS the future. McCain will set us back 50 plus years. This is 2008 NOT 1958--vote for
the future.

Yes, they REALLY are that ignorant!

They have been listening to am radio and FAUX NEWS for so long that they can no longer think for themselves.

You have undoubtedly noticed that the McCain folks don;t actually debate the economy or any other issue. All they do is repeat rumors and charater assasinations.

They should really look at McCain's character! (and Palin's!).

Obama is half caucasian so it would be rather stupid for him to make anti-caucasian remarks.
