go to home depot, there is are poison for bug(its have a grey bottle, just like windex bottle). this poison for can last until 6 months. but the thing is you have kids, and you want to be more careful with that.(toys and any other stuff get contact with the poison residue could be dangerous). good luck with that

I've stayed & worked in substandard motels. a GREAT place for breeding and spreading these things. We had guests from all over the world. And the owners of the motel where I worked kept infested mattresses. THAT is what is spreading these things. So now they are in every country in the world, in every bed.
