it is actually written on his headstone, "That's all folks!" awesome.
there is a print done the year he died with all the charactors he voiced standing by an empty spotlight and microphone. underneath the title of the print simply said, "Speechless"
thanks mel, you are a gem in the golden years of saturday morning cartoons!

Pete Puma {Stan Freberg}, Nasty Canasta in the "Barbary Coast Bunny" cartoon and most of the celebrity impressions were did by Daws Butler; on the "Wideo Wabbit" short that spoofs TV programs, Elmer traps Bugs for a TV hunting show. Mel is heard as Bugs and the Frank Nelson-like director while Arthur does Elmer's voice and Daws Butler voices Groucho and Ed Gnorton when Bugs dresses up like them. Golden Collection, Volume 3 contains that particular short.

i'd imagine it's tough to replicate Elmer's voice because Arthur Q Bryan's voice was Elmer's with the little twist of pronouncing the "R" words with a "W"...I saw a clip of Billy West on one of the DVD collections of Looney Tunes and he did a good impression of Elmer, I thought.

I like the caption to the drawing of all the most well known Warner Brothers cartoon characters, when Mel Blank passed away. It simply read, "Speechless."

Wow, Mel Blanc can do those voices even if he's old. NUMBER 1 for voice acting. We'll never forget you. I'm inspired by Mel because I create my own characters and do their voices and I do it well because I try to use "Mel Blanc" strategies.

it was drawn in honor of his death. cause without Mel they would have no voices. I bet Mel is up in Heaven right about now giving everyone a good laugh.
